Today in 1759 the English defeated the French after their surrender in Quebec, after the famous Battle of the Plains of Abraham. This battle began on the 13th of September and ended the 18th; which marked the final battle of the French and Indian War. The English had won. 258 years later and the French are still trying to take over, despite the fact that the English allowed the French to stay, believing all could grow in harmony... I guess not. Seen here is the battle in full force on day one. 'Battle of the Plains of Abraham, September 13th, 1759.' was drawn for "Tuttle's History of the Dominion of Canada" and engraved on steel by J. Walker. This print measures 5 ½ x 8 ½ inches. 🇨🇦🔫⚔️💣🇨🇦
