The pretty little print is called Pitcairnia staminea. It was taken from The Botanical Cabinet: consisting of coloured dilineations of plants from all countries, with a short account of each, by Conrad Loddiges & Sons. It was published by John & Arthur ArchCornhill in Paternoster Row, Hackney in May of 1823.
This frame can be hung on a wall or stand on its own. The burgundy matting with gold frame really warms up the print, emphasizing the colours. The frame measures 11 ¼” x 9 ¼” and the size of the print that is showing is 6 ½” x 4 ½”.
